On the 30th December 2008 Wolfgang and Silke from Germany, Eddie from Switzerland and Mikkho from Finland joined Amazing Bike Tours for 1 day of Thailand Bike Adventure.

Wolfgang, Silke and Eddie are all regular Mountain Bikers, Mikkho not such a regular biker but made up for that by being in good shape…so many extra side routes on off road trails were added to the days Biking route.

Didnt get chance to take many photos as all of them where right behind me through out the day….the usual chance to stop and grab the camera before the guests catch up was not going to happen today.

Bike Tour to Koh Yao Noi on 26th December 2008.

On 26th December, other wise known as Boxing Day (thats what us Brits call the day after Christmas), Amazing Bike Tours headed from Phuket to the sleepy Island of Koh Yao Noi. Joining us today were Barbara from England, now a long term resident of Norway. Khun Mon from Phuket Thailand, Khun Tique from Chang Mai Thailand and Khun Fon from Chonburi Thailand.

The day was a gentle day of Cycling along the country lanes at a nice easy pace enjoying the scenery, hearing the birds calling and smelling the fresh air. All things that are easily missed when travelling in a car, the slow pace of Bike travel allowing the Cyclists to soak up the atmosphere and appreciate the beauty of the Islands.

Khun Mon, a native of Phuket Island first visit to near by Koh Yao Noi.

At the end of the day, just as we reached the pier the skys opened up in a brief but heavy tropical down pour. Shortly after we were treated to a rainbow between the sister Yao Islands.

Trek 4500 Mountain Bikes for General Rental

Bikes are not only available for use during our tours but are also available for general rental from Amazing Bike Tours operations office in Phuket.

In case you want to go it alone or just need a bike for a day, the following are rental prices per day from Phuket:

1-7 Days:400 Baht per day
8-14 Days: 360 Baht per day
15-21 Days: 320 Baht per day
22+ Days: 280 Baht per day

Please Note: We require a cash deposit of Baht 20,000 for each bike rented.

Replacement tubes, pump, tools etc are not included with the rental. Please make sure that you have these necessities.

Mechanical disclaimer: Generally, it is the responsibility of the renter to maintain the mechanical suitability of the bike after it leaves our shop. All bikes leave our shop adjusted, greased, lubed, and prepped. Mechanical failures caused by the user are not entitled to a refund (this includes chain, derailleur, shifters). Flat tires, broken spokes, etc are not entitled to a refund. If Amazing Bike Tours determines that a mechanical failure was due to circumstances unrelated to the user, then we will determine an equitable refund solution. Any damage to a frame or its parts will be assessed a fee for replacement (ie. a broken chain). Please be a responsible rider.

Delivery and collection is possible within Phuket Island, price will depend on the location of your hotel and the respective distance from our office.

On December 4th 2008 a group of 4 Belgiums and 2 UK Nationals who also reside in Belgium joined Amazing Bike Tours for some great Asian Biking.
We departed Phuket and headed to Koh Yao Noi, our destination for 1 day of Thailand Mountain Biking.
As this was a private tour for their group they set the pace and mood for the day….Cycle stop and drink a beer, cycle stop and drink a beer….Biking and beer being a great combination

The group were only in Phuket for 1 week and were very active every day, plaing Golf, Scuba Diving and now Thailand Mountain Bike Tours with Amazing Bike Tours.
