Phuket Country Side-Half day bike tour in Phuket on 28th July 2009.

On Tuesday 28th July 2009 Jay, Kylie and Grace from Australia joined our half day bike tour in Phuket. During this Thailand Bike Tour our guests will ride through rubber tree plantations, palm oil plantations and pineapple plantations.

No not one of our bikes, as we rode through the rubber trees we came across the old bike.....lots of character but i think we will stick with our Trek Mountain Bikes.

On this half day Phuket bike tour we also visit the Phuket Gibbon Rehabilitation Center. Gibbons that were poached and kept as pets or for taking photos with tourists are cared for. Some will be released back in to the wild.

On Sunday 26th July 2009 Trang and Tomoko from Australia joined Amazing Bike Tours for a 1 day Bike tour to Thai Muang, a small coastal town between Phuket and Khao Lak. After collecting our guests from Kata Beach we headed to the north of Phuket Island. We unloaded our Trek Mountain Bikes shortly before Sarasin Bridge, and rode over the bridge to the provence of Phang Nga. We joined a small coastal road and biked with the Andaman Coast on one side and small Thai villages on our other side.

This bike tour also includes a visit to the sea turtle sanctuary in Thai Muang. Turtle eggs are hatched and the turtles gain size and strength before being released in the Andaman Sea.

Half Day Bike Tour in Phuket on 22nd July 2009.

On Wednesday 22nd July 2009 Derek and Julia from New Zealand joined Amazing Bike Tours for their half day Bike tour in Phuket Island.

After collecting our guests we headed to the north east of Phuket, away from the development of the west coast, to the country side and small villages found on the east coast, the destination for our half day Phuket bike tour.

During this half day Phuket Bike Tour we ride through rubber tree plantations, Palm Oil plantations and pineapple fields. A good combination of on and off road riding.

During the Half day Phuket bike tour we visit the Phuket Gibbon Rehabilitation Project. Monkeys that we used to take photos with tourists are been taken care of, some will be released back in the wild. Others that suffered injurys may need to stay in captivation, but here the Gibbons are well cared for.

After visitng the Gibbons a short jungle trek brings us to Bang Pae waterfall. Then its back on the bikes along quiet country roads, past Mosques and small villages until we reach Ao Por- a bay on the north east coast of Phuket.

On Sunday 19th July 2009 Isabella from Germany and Eloy from Spain joined Amazing Bike Tours for their popular 1 day Mountain Bike Tour from Phuket Island to Koh Yao Noi. After pickingh up our guests for the day we heading to Bang Rong pier to take us and our Trek Mountains Bikes to the islands for a great days Biking in Thailand.

Phuket Country Side-Half Day Bike Tour in Phuket on 8th July 2009.

On Wednesday 8th July 2009 The Johns Family from Australia and Denis from Singapore joined Amazing Bike Tours for our half day Bike Tour in Phuket Island.

Our half day tour has our guests Biking off raod through rubber tree, pineapple and palm oil plantations in the north east of Phuket Island.

 

During this Half day Phuket Bike Tour we also visit Phuket’s Gibbon Rehabilitation Center and see how the Gibbon’s are cared for, some of which are released back in to the wild. After a short jungle trek to Bang Pae waterfall it’s back on the bikes for the ride to Ao Por, passing small Thai villages on the way.

On Tuesday 7th July 2009 Peter and Philip from Denmark joined Amazing Bike Tours for our popular 1 day bike tour from Phuket to Koh Yao Noi. It may be monsoon season but the weather is great. Another fantastic day of Biking in Thailand.

 

We biked through some rubber and pineapple plantations in Phuket before taking the boat to Koh Yao Noi.

Phuket Mountain Challenge on 1st July 2009.

On Wednesday 1st July Amazing Bike Tours conducted our half day “Phuket Mountain Challenge” on a private basis for 1 rider. This is really tough ride with lots of hills, both up and down aswell as on and off road.  The ride included an off road section all the way from Patong to Chalong followed by a 6km ascent up to Phuket’s landmark “Big Buddha”.

After Biking off road from Patong to Chalong we stopped by Wat LuangPo Supha for some drinks and snacks.

A 6km ascent brought us to Phuket's Big Buddha and some great views of the surrounding islands.

On Tuesday 30th June Peter and Bev from England and James and Kara from Australia joined Amazing Bike Tours for their 1 day Cycle Tour from Phuket to Koh Yao Noi Island in Phang Nga, Thailand. It may be monsoon season, the time of year when more wind and rain can be expected, but we had blue skys and sunny weather all day.

 

We biked a few Km in Phuket from Sala Beach to Bang Rong Pier before departing to Koh Yao Noi.
