Thai Muang Turtles and Waterfalls bike ride on 28th September 2011

Wednesday 28th September 2011. Joining the Thai Muang Turtles & Waterfalls bike tour with Amazing Bike Tours Thailand were Jane, Lydia and Lilian from London. Ben a New Zealand export now living in Australia and the Macleod family from Scotland and Australia, being Ewan, Monique and their daughters Tiana and Gina.

 

After driving to the north of Phuket Island in a very heavy tropical downpour just as we finished unloading our Trek mountain bikes the rain stopped and held off for the entire ride. Biking on and off road, a visit to a Sea Turtle conservation center and after 50km of biking cooling off at the impressive Ton Prai waterfall.

Charity bike ride to Koh Yao Noi on 30th October 2011

On Sunday 30th October 2011 Amazing Bike Tours will be organizing a charity bike ride in Koh Yao Noi (Long Small Island). The aim of this day will be to raise money for the Koh Yao Children’s Community Center. The Community Center teaches the Islands youth English Language, the importance of protecting the environment and preserving the history, culture and traditions of life in Yao Noi. Great work is being achieved by the project and Amazing Bike Tours is proud to support them.

We will organize our day trip from Phuket to Koh Yao Noi to spend the day biking in the Islands; the ride is a gentle 30km cycling around the Island including lunch at a beachside restaurant. On this day we will also stop at the community center to meet the project director who will explain about the center and it’s on going projects, plus we will meet many of the local children that attend the center.

 

All cyclists joining this charity bike ride are required to make a minimum donation of 2000 Baht to join the ride. Although more generous donations will be greatly appreciated. 100% of the money raised will be donated to the project.

 

Amazing Bike Tours are organizing this event and will arrange and cover the expense of transportation in Phuket to/from Bang Rong Pier, boat to/from Koh Yao Noi. Trek Mountain Bikes and helmets and Bike guide will be provided. Drinks, snacks, fruit will also be provided.

 

Sabai Corner Restaurant and Bungalows are co-sponsoring the event and will be providing a delicious Thai lunch and drinks for all the hungry riders joining this charity bike ride.

 

If you want to enjoy a fantastic day of biking in the Islands, knowing that 100% of the money paid to join this ride will be donated to a worthwhile project then please contact Amazing Bike Tours.

Cycling along the Andaman coastline, visiting a sea turtle conservation center and cooling down in a waterfall after 50km of biking in Thailand was the plan for the day on Wednesday 21st September 2011.
