Koh Yao Noi Charity Ride on 30th October 2011

On Sunday 30th October 2011 Amazing Bike Tours organized a charity ride to Koh Yao Noi. The aim of the day was to raise money for the Koh Yao Childrens Community Center which teaches the Islands children English language, enviromental awareness and other important skills. The center has been involved in some great projects to benefit the Koh Yao Noi community.

We asked all guests joining this ride to make a minimum donation of 2000 Baht. 100% of which to be donated to the center. Amazing Bike Tours organized and promoted the charity ride and covered all expenses of the day including transport in Phuket, boat to/from the Island, drinks, snacks, provided bikes and guides etc.

Sabai Corner Resturant and Bungalow kindly supported the charity ride by giving a great discount on the lunch @ their beachside resturant.

A small group of 6 riders signed up for this charity ride, they were Cristian from Romania, Ying from Thailand, William, Brian, James and June from Singapore. The donations from the six riders totaled 12,500 Baht. While not a huge amount we are sure the Koh Yao Childrens Community Center can put the funds to good use.

Thanks to all the riders who joined us on this day.

Joining our popular half day bike tour in Phuket Island on Thursday 27th October 2011 were Jeffrey and Micaela from Australia, Michael from New Zealand, Dominik from Germany, Jane & Kirsten also from Australia.

Biking on and off road, through rubber and pineapple plantations, a visit to the Gibbon Project and then back on the bikes for the ride to the scenic Por Bay.

Wednesday 26th October 2011, another perfect day for biking in Thailand. Joining Amazing Bike Tours on this fine day were Ian, Michelle, Monique, Tim, Mick and Shane all from down under, all had signed up for the Thai Muang Turtles & waterfalls bike tour. 45km biking along the Andaman coast, a visit to a Sea Turtle Center and then after reaching the end of the ride cooling down in the refreshing waters of Ton Prai waterfall.

Tuesday 25th October 2011 Amazing Bike Tours were joined by Graham & Jeanette from the UK, Yvonne, Natasha and Matt also from Great Britian, Byran from US of A and back for his second ride Rod from Canada.

Koh Yao Noi mountain bike tour on 18th October 2011

Koh Yao Noi (Long Small Island) was the destination for the days biking on Tuesday 18th October 2011. Back for their second ride in two days was Simon, Kate and Alex from the UK. Also joining Amazing Bike Tours for the ride were Carol from England and Bruce from Australia.

After collecting our guests from their Phuket hotels we headed to the north east of Phuket Island to join the local boat to the Islands.

Once arriving on Yao Noi Island we spent the day biking through rice paddies, past fishing villages, rubber tree plantations, friendly waving locals and amazing ocean views of Phang Nga Bay and Krabi.
